About the Project

Back for its second year, the Tour de France Prudential Singapore Criterium was brought closer to the heart of Singapore at Suntec City on the weekend of 28 and 29 October 2023.
Alongside the big names in Tour de France like Tadej Pogacar & Sepp Kuss, our region and nation’s best cyclist came together for a great day of racing around a fast and technical 3km circuit, going past some of the nation’s iconic landmarks, including the Fountain of Wealth, Esplanade, War Memorial and the Esplanade.

The weekend also saw amateur and novice racers coming together in the PRURide Seekers’ Criterium organised by Prudential, where avid cyclists with zero racing experience attempts their first road race, and seasoned racers continue to gain racing experiences and national ranking points on closed roads.

Solution

Right in the city centre on a buzzling weekend, PICH proved once again to embrace challenges as we developed and planned the race route of the event. With detailed planning and multiple engagements with the various stakeholders and agencies, a unique race route that challenges the techniques of racers was developed just for this event while working to minimise the impact on the users of the public spaces.

PICH took lead in managing the races, from race operations which included the management of the start and finish, medical and safety support services, as well as race administrative matters relating timing and results.

This year, PICH took on the role to service the main title sponsor, Prudential, to plan and fulfil the various requirement of the sponsor, including the planning and execution of its lead-up activations. Among the ongoing activities that took place during the planning phase and the event day, PICH served as a bridge of communication between the event organiser and the title sponsor of the event.
