About the Project

Ride for Rainbows is a flagship night cycling fundraising event organised by Club Rainbow (Singapore) since 2012. This event aims to raise public awareness as well as funds to support children who suffer from a range of major chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses and their families.

The event challenges the resilience and tenacity of riders to complete a gruelling ride around the island, which exemplifies the same qualities they hope to inculcate in their Rainbow children in their journey towards an enriching life.

Solution

On 21 April 2018, a total of 184 riders were escorted by event marshals and auxiliary police officers on the 60km and 107km route, complete with roving support services and refreshment stations set up at various points. To qualify, no registration fee was required but riders had to raise the minimum donation amount required in the respective categories. A total of over $400,000 was raised from the event for the beneficiaries.
