About the Project

OCBC Cycle 2016 returns once again giving participants the opportunity to cycle on closed roads and expressways – an experience truly unique to the event. Nearly 7,000 cyclists participated to ride together on 1 and 2 October 2016.

OCBC Cycle is sanctioned by the Singapore Cycling Federation and supported by Sport Singapore.

Solution

Various categories were available for participants of all ages and cycling abilities. Those who joined The Sportive Ride and The Straits Times Ride started at the Singapore Sports Hub and ended inside the National Stadium. Participants also got to cycle past a panoramic view of Singapore’s cityscape comprising of iconic landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer and Central Business District areas – all on closed roads free from vehicles.

On top of that, pre-event workshops were also organised to bring participants together creating many great fun-filled weekends that were achieved through cycling.
