About the Project

Bare Your Sole is Habitat for Humanity’s annual walkathon organised to also drive awareness about those living in poverty without the ability to afford basic amenities, such as shelter or footwear. The event attracted 5,000 participants from all walks of life as they come together to raise funds for the less-privileged.

Solution

To highlight and provide a tangible experience of what the poor, marginalised communities go through, participants walked barefoot together for 2.5km or 5km at the sunny island of Sentosa and raised a total of $250,000 for the less-privileged. The funds raised were then used to support and improve the living conditions of the underprivileged in Singapore.

Aside from the walkathon, participants were also treated to a wide range of activities such as the Habitat Village, musical performances and a kid’s corner, catering to participants of all ages.
